All Veggie Cleanse – Reflections
You are what you eat? Not in this case. I made it 4 days eating only veggies.
I thought I would share my reflections on the 4 days…
- If your going to do this diet it helps to have others doing it with you. The idioms ‘misery loves company’ comes to mind with this diet. Find others for support and it will help.
- This diet does leave you craving protein so be prepared. On the last day I was really craving protein. I was even surfing food sites from craving it. I suggest you use tofu with as many meals as possible.
- For myself I ended up not being full on the last day. No matter how much I ate my body kept saying feed me. The one thing this cleanse did well for me is it got my metabolism moving again. For the longest time I would be happy eat 1 – 2 meals a day. Now I am hungry for 3 or more meals.
- This cleanse will not effect your visceral fat. I thought the cleanse would be good at removing visceral fat because there was little to no fat in but at the weigh in I did not lose any visceral fat.
For those that did the veggie cleanse with me. What are your reflections?
I am working on my next week’s cleanse. An all juice/shake cleanse. My goal is to do 6 shakes a day for 4 days while maintaining a balance of 60% protein 20% carbs and 20% fat with under 1200 calories.
