Approved for Life Insurance
Well if you read my story you will know that my journey started when I was denied life insurance. That meant if I were to leave my mortal coal behind that my wife and kids would have nothing. When you have a family there is a comfort when you are insured that they will be taken care of when something really bad happens.
Yesterday I received notice from my broker that I was approved for Life Insurance.
Interestingly although I am in good shape they will charge a premium for 1 year to ensure I am still in good health. I guess they don’t want me to yo-yo back up 160 lbs and I don’t blame them. Once the year is over my premium rate goes down to a normal rate.
This is a great add on to my story and will update the story to reflect that I have now been approved for life insurance.

I’m glad to hear that things have played out in your favour…As a financial advisor and insurance broker active in Ontario, I see scenarios like this all too often…Fortunately, I have also seen the decision to decline or rate (charge an increased premium) an application become a real turning point for many clients…It has been the trigger for a number of folks to commit to quitting smoking, losing weight, or eliminating any other factors that lead to an increased risk…Ultimately, I’m just happy to hear that the necessary coverage is in place for your family…Take care!
