Running Log – The Hills Are Alive…

I know Julie Andrews belted these words out as she ran and spun through the rolling hills of Switzerland. The hills she was in most certainly might have been alive and full of joie de vivre but after today I am a bit sore and in need of recuperation. The 4 hills we did was a challenge but I enjoyed it and glad I made it through it.

I tried playing with my pace by walking down so it will effect my time a bit and for some reason I hit the pause button on my Garmin at one point so it messed up my readings a bit. I need to do some more reading on breathing as someone mentioned that I should change my breath pattern on down hills vs up hill. I usually just have the same breathing for the entire thing.

What breathing pattern do you use while running up or down a hill?
