Running Log – Back on the Horse

Over the last few months I have been walking and not much happens when you walk so I decided to take a break from blogging.

This week I decided to test out my legs and on Tuesday I managed to run the 4k without any pain. I followed up on Wednesday with another 4k run and again no pain. Today I did a 5k run and it felt good to get out and run again.

I have noticed a large decline in my cardio level. I had originally thought the group I was in was doing 5 and 1′s which would have helped with my cardio decline a  bit more but I found out they were doing 10′s and 1′s. It was hard but I made it.

I am going to keep up my training but limit my distance to 5k and under for a few months.

My next race is the Rotary Run at the end of September which I am looking forward to. My goal for that race is to finish it doing 10′s and 1′s.
