Running Log – More Then One Way to Run a Hill

runninglog

Today I had to do a quick talk in White Rock for Team Diabetes. I went with Heather and Mikey from my group as we were the only one’s running today. We had decided we were going to do a run on a picturesque White Rock hill over looking the ocean as we pound the pavement for 9 grueling hills. We were directed by the manager of the Running Room to a hill on Morgan Creek Way. We ran out to the hill and found the hill to be disappointing.  So disappointing we decided to go back to our Pain Hill and do our 9 hills!

I got into my rhythm and the first 5 hills were no problem. On the way down of the 5th hill I could hear that small voice in my head saying get to 7 and you can quit. Instead of that I decided to split the hill in 2. There is a difficult short part (300m) and a easy long part (600m). I did the short part 4 times a quickly as I possible could to get the hard part of the run over with. I cruised through the long parts to get it done. I am not sure if my brain would have let me do all 9 back to back  but I managed to find a way to get it done.

I forgot my Garmin at home so I only have RunKeeper Pro details tonight.
